Kindergarten Math
Kindergarten math builds number sense: counting objects and knowing the last number said tells how many, comparing groups, joining and separating small sets, naming flat shapes and solid shapes, and sorting by size and weight. Money and saving get a first, gentle introduction too.

How to help at home
Count everything: stairs, grapes, cars at a stoplight. Count backward too. Use real coins. Sort them, name them, and trade five pennies for a nickel.
